Chandler Dillingham is an award-winning classical guitarist from New York City. He has performed across the United States as a solo artist and chamber musician, earning prizes in multiple prestigious competitions, including the Schubert Club Scholarship Competition, Southern Guitar Festival, Indiana Guitar Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and Society of American Musicians Competition. Chandler has also been invited to perform at prominent venues in the Midwestern United States, such as the Ravinia Festival and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Concert Series.
Beyond his performance career, Chandler is a dedicated teacher and researcher. He has delivered lectures on effective practice techniques for organizations such as Latino Arts Inc. and the Guitar Foundation of America, establishing himself as an authority in the field of music education. His research focuses on how students can prepare efficiently for various performance settings, offering valuable insights that have accelerated the progress of students in his private teaching studio.
Chandler obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance at Northwestern University with the honor of cum laude. He is pursuing two master’s degrees in Classical Guitar Performance and Music History & Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee under the guidance of Cuban guitar virtuoso, René Izquierdo.
