Garrett Podgorski

Garrett Podgorski is a guitarist, composer and producer bridging the gap between classical and popular music. Based in Los Angeles, Podgorski combines his rock and roll roots with his classical lyricism giving him a distinctly unique voice. Drawing on influences from Randy Rhoads to Johann Sebastian Bach, Podgorski implements his individual sound into recordings and live performances around the world.

Podgorski has toured with a wide range of artists. In the Fall of 2025, Podgorski played guitar and keyboard for Claire Rosinkranz, opening for Maroon 5 on their “Love is Like” Tour across the United States. He has also toured with artists including Chrissy and Isabel Dumaa.

While pursuing his own artist projects, Podgorski is also a high-demand session musician in LA, having worked on multiple projects for film and TV. In the Summer of 2025, Podgorski worked with composer Joy Ngiaw to record guitar, mandolin, and bass on the score of “Solo Mio”, directed by Charles and Daniel Kinnane, featuring Kevin James, which is set to release in February of 2026.

Podgorski began studying classical guitar in 2017 and has since become an award-winning classical guitarist. Podgorski received first prize in the “Gohar and Ovanes Andriassian Young Guitar Competition” twice, in both 2019 and 2020. He also won first prize in the “Fine Arts Club of Pasadena” Junior Performance Competition in 2021. Additionally, Podgorski was awarded 3rd place in the Parkening International Young Guitar Competition in May of 2019.

Podgorski is currently the creative director for “The BnT Collection,” a project documenting and creating content for the personal collection of guitars owned by Brad and Teena Boeckmann. Podgorski has interviewed artists such as Mike Dawes and Amelia Ramirez, as well as traveled around the world in search of unique guitars for the collection. His most recent project involved filming a documentary in Spain, focussed on discovering and purchasing guitars with a unique story for the collection, which is set to release on Youtube in early 2026.

Podgorski began playing the guitar at age nine, studying under a student of Randy Rhoads, Janet Robin. He became obsessed with the instrument and just a year later was performing “Eruption” by Eddie Van-Halen at his elementary school strings performance. This performance went viral on Youtube gaining over 10 million views. At the age of ten, Podgorski began busking on the streets of Downtown Burbank to save up for better equipment. Within a year, he was able to buy his first Gibson Les Paul, in alpine white honoring Randy Rhoads. By age eleven, Podgorski was an artist for Taylor Guitars, Fender Guitars, Schecter Guitars, and Dunlop. At age twelve, Podgorski played the “Randy Rhoads Remembered Show” in Anaheim, California in front of thousands. He was then nicknamed “Randy Rhoads’ grand student.” At age fifteen, Podgorski was encouraged to  begin studying the art of the classical guitar by world-renowned guitarist Christopher Parkening, who reached out after hearing Podgorski’s first album. Podgorski immediately began studying  under the adjunct professor of guitar at Pepperdine University, Kevin Enstrom. In 2020, Podgorski was accepted into the classical guitar department under Christopher Parkening at Pepperdine University. After graduating from Pepperdine University in May of 2024, Podgorski continued his studies at The University of Southern California (USC), which he will complete in the Fall of 2026.

Podgorski has a large catalogue of music released under his name. His first project, titled “Limitless,” was released in December of 2016, at just age 15. Limitless is an instrumental metal record, influenced by artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson to name a few. His next record, titled “Villa-Lobos: 5 Preludes” was released in November of 2020. This was Podgorki’s first classical record, solidifying him as a notable figure in the classical music scene. The following year, Podgorski released a record with Nolan Harvel, a fellow Pepperdine student. They formed “The Pacific Duo” and recorded their first EP titled “The Pacific Duo: A Debut,” consisting of traditional music for two guitars. During this time, Podgorski was also writing progressive instrumental music for the guitar, releasing “Overarching” in June of 2021, as well as “Turning Point” in January of 2022. On the side, Podgorski formed an indie-alternative band with singer Joshua Nash in 2022, called “Byrdhouse.” The band, consisting of Podgorski on guitar, Joshua Nash on vocals and keys, Thomas Lowe on drums, and Ben Blauffarb on bass, released three singles preceding their debut album, “Figure it Out” in May of 2023. Podgorski is currently preparing for his next release, “The Tales of Time,” a fourteen-track solo acoustic guitar album set to release in 2026.

Beyond Podgorski’s performance career, he also is a notable content creator on multiple platforms. With over twenty five thousand followers on Tiktok, three thousand followers on Instagram, and thirteen thousand combined subscribers on Youtube, he consistently engages in brand deals and sponsorships. Podgorski is currently an artist for Eastman Guitars, Augustine Strings, and StringJoy.
