Ricardo Salinas
He is considered one of the most outstanding and active guitarists of his generation. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Guitar Performance and his Master's degree in Music Education at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), receiving high-level academic recognition, as well as the "Gabino Barreda" medal for being the best student in his program.
He has taken advanced guitar courses, guitar ensemble courses, and music education courses with prestigious figures such as Abel Carlevaro (Uruguay), Ricardo Cobo (Colombia), David Tanenbaum (USA), Simone Iannarelli (Italy), Frank Longay (USA), MaryLuo Roberts (USA), Giampaolo Bandini (Italy), the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (USA), the Entrequatre Guitar Quartet (Spain), the Amadeus Guitar Duo (Canada-Germany), and the Assad Duo (Brazil).
He was a guitar professor at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), the Technological University of Mexico, the Cedros School Center, and the Preparatory School of the Pan-American University, where he held various positions in the Department of Art and Culture, an unprecedented school project in the field of music chosen by the UN and the International Council for Caring Communities as one of the model projects to follow to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
He is a frequent speaker and consultant for educational projects on topics related to Arts Education, Innovation, and Educational Technology. He performs in concert as a soloist, in chamber ensembles, and with orchestras in Mexico and abroad.
In 2022-23, he embarked on his Home Tour Mexico, performing 30 concerts in various cities across the country to celebrate his 30-year artistic career. In 2024, his Magical Guitarist Tour paid tribute to The Beatles for the 60th anniversary of Beatlemania worldwide. In 2025, he undertook the Six-String Piano Tour, performing great piano classics on the classical guitar. And in 2026, he is currently touring with his “The Guitar Goes to the Movies Tour”, performing iconic film soundtracks on his guitar, Fátima.
He is a prominent figure on social media, sharing his diverse activities as a concert performer, educator, entrepreneur, and other passions. His music is available on digital platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, to name the most important.
